Revenue Accountant

Areshannaca "Shan" Scott is a Revenue Accountant at Maven Royalty Partners (MRP), where she collaborates closely with the Financial Accountants, Controller, and Chief Financial Officer to support the organization’s financial health through revenue reporting and analysis. Shan is responsible for revenue processing, financial reporting, reconciliation, and data management.

Before joining MRP, Shan gained hands-on experience in accounting while pursuing her Bachelor's degree. In 2020, she worked as an Accounting Intern for two years at a local CPA firm in Shreveport, LA. During her internship, Shan managed bookkeeping for clients, assisted in preparing both business and personal taxes, developed internal processes, filed sales and use taxes, supported clients with business creation and compliance, filed IFTA reports, and managed payroll.

In 2023, Shan continued her career growth with another internship at Wiley University, where her strong performance led to a full-time position as a Revenue Accountant. In this role, she supported the Controller with revenue tracking, financial reporting, reconciliation of bank accounts, compliance, and audit support.

Shan earned her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from Wiley University in December 2023, and ten months later, she completed her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the same institution. Originally from Shreveport, she was raised in both Shreveport and San Francisco, CA, and now resides in Shreveport, LA.
